Effective 1st November 2009, DiGi Prepaid customers on selected plans (i.e. DiGi Family, DiGi Prepaid, Super FnF, Super Talk, Super SMS and Powerpack,) will be charged per 60 seconds for all domestic calls.

Effective 5th November 2009, customers on the new DiGi Prepaid plan will enjoy 12 sen/min to all domestic calls and 1 sen/ SMS to all DiGi numbers when they hit RM1 on their DiGi Prepaid any day. Domestic calls will be charged per 30 seconds, after which customers who hit RM1, will be charged per 60 seconds. Terms and conditions apply.

So what is charging block?
Charging block is the minimum calling time charges that will charge on your balance.
For example:

Summary, if you call on the:
1st second to 30th second = RM0.50
31st to 60th second = RM1.00
61st second to 90th second = RM1.50

What is the difference between these two sets:

a) In short, Original set is from the official distributor recognised by the manufacture like Nokia, Sony Ericsson, LG etc. While AP set is from non-official distributors.

Where do these two type of set from:

They all both from overseas but just carry and distribute by different distributors.

How to know whether my mobile phone is from which distributors:

There are many ways:

a) For original, the box’s IMEI number is same as the IMEI number that is in the mobile phone itself, you can check the IMEI number of your phone by typing *#06#. While for AP sets, both will be different.

b) When you remove the battery, the internal part that stated the information of the mobile phone will have hologram from the original distributor while for AP will be a round sticker.

(Remember to check whether your phone’s battery is genuine regardless of AP or original  because it might not safe to be used, ex: explode when charging)

c) The warranty is different whereby for original, the transceiver and all the accessories is given one year of warranty (but for now I heard that original distributor is giving 2 years of warranty)

while

for AP would be 1 year for transceiver; battery, charger and LCD screen would be 1 month; for the rest would be no warranty like headset etc.

b) Original set would sometimes RM100 – RM300 higher than AP’s.

Other tips and information:

a) It may be hard to get replacement of phone if it’s spoil when it’s purchased through AP dealer.

b) If the price between these two set is not too big, try buy the original instead.

c) I can’t say which distributor gives best repairing when it comes into warranty so don’t ask this and my only answer will be “It depends on your luck”!

It has been a long time since last time I updated my blog till I don’t really familiar with how to blog a post. I just bought the camera LCD protector for my Cyber-Shot T77. It cost me RM 39 and the price is a bit expensive. What to do since they said  the user of CS must use the original accessories because maybe the touch function would not be perform well when I use others one. Anyway, I also can’t find where got cheaper LCD protector besides the original retailer.

Well, this is my first time attach a screen protector to a device. Before that, when I’m buying a phone they straightaway help me to attach it. But it’s also a good test for me although some air bubble can be seem at the edge of the screen and I’ll be better next time (I think no next time because it cost me a lot!)
